Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Residential Counselor for Willow House in Enfield, CT. This part-time role (16 hours/week) requires Friday and Saturday, 3pm–11pm shifts, in a 5-bed, 24-hour staffed program for young adults ages 18–25.

You will support residents with independent living skills, manage medications per policy, and assist with educational and vocational goals while collaborating with families and providers. Strong driving record and a GED are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with relevant population preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains environment and program standards.
• Monitors medications per policy.
• Communicates day’s events to staff.
• Teaches residents independent living skills.
• Supports educational and vocational goals.
• Prepares and facilitates groups and interventions.
• Collaborates with providers and families.
• Addresses medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintains documentation.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
