Justice Resource Institute in Thompson, CT is seeking Part-time Residential Counselors to support the development and growth of young adults with emotional challenges. You will provide humane treatment, follow policies, and assist with daily routines in a residential setting.

The role requires 21+ years old, HS diploma, and preferably a Bachelor's in human services or related field. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $19.00 to $25.00, with potential overtime and a bilingual bonus for

Qualifications

• Mental health program experience with adolescents preferred.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communication.
• Ability to independently plan and organize one’s own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide humane treatment and ensure dignity for all individuals.
• Follow JRI Code of Conduct and confidentiality policies.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques per BCC protocols and report violations.
• Support and follow Treatment Team decisions.
• Provide supervision and assistance to counselors with residential assessments.
• Assist students with daily program activities (meals, recreation, housekeeping, ADLs).
