The Susan Wayne Center, part of the River Run Academy, in Thompson, CT, is seeking Residential Counselors to support young adults with emotional challenges. This role offers a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits, with overtime potential in some cases.

Responsibilities include humane treatment, crisis intervention, and daily activity supervision. The center values respectful care, confidentiality, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in human services, psychology, social work, or sociology preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently plan and organize one’s schedule and activities to complete required tasks.
• Background checks and ability to pass pre-employment physical and certifications.

Responsabilités

• Provide humane treatment and ensure dignity for all individuals.
• Follow JRI Code of Conduct and confidentiality policies.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques per BCC protocols.
• Support and follow Treatment Team decisions.
• Provide supervision, training, and assistance to counselors on assessments and interventions.
• Assist students with daily program schedule including meals, recreation, housekeeping, chores, and ADLs.
