Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. is seeking a Recreation Aide to develop, supervise and assist in a wide range of leisure activities for students in a residential setting.

Shifts vary and evenings/weekends are required; wage is $18.74–$18.75 per hour with SCA fringe benefit eligibility. The role supports the Residential department, requires knowledge of recreation activities, and involves planning, organizing, and recording activities, with potential volunteer supervision and transport duties as

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreation activities, games, sports, arts, and crafts.
• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and carrying out department’s recreational services.
• Explain and demonstrate the use of supplies and equipment and techniques used in activity sessions.
• Exercise professional judgement in conducting activities.
• Submit schedules, attendances, and supplies to supervisor.
• Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and inventory in assigned areas.
• Assist in recruitment of volunteers and supervise them.
