Job summary

ServingSchools is hiring for a full-time Recreation/Youth Programs specialist in Maine. You will direct students in leisure-time activities, organize programs, and support trips and events, with responsibilities including coaching teams and assisting in drama and arts projects.

Minimum one year of youth experience or an Associate degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Lifeguard certification and coaching/arts experience are desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• You would be directing students in leisure-time recreation activities . (Etc. Games, Sports, Field Trips and Off Site Activities.)
• Assist in organization of the recreational programs and trips and encourage students' participation.
• Orders and issues materials, supplies, films, and game equipment upon Supervisor's review and approval
• Develops and operates weekly game activities
• Assists in center sponsored trips and events
• Coaches teams engaged in on and off center activities
• Assists students in drama and other creative activities
• Must be able to drive company vehicles and qualify for company sponsored insurance by holding a Maine Driver's License.

Qualifications

Minimum: One-year experience working with youth or Associates degree.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Must obtain and maintain lifeguard certification. Experience as a coach, arts & crafts, performing arts.

Shift Schedule

4 -10 hour shift

Sun thru Wed 12PM to 11PM - Thu, Fri & Sat Off
