Job summary

The City of Boulder City, NV seeks an entry‑level Recreation Aide to provide a safe, engaging environment for children in our programs. Under general supervision, you will assist with daily operations of recreation facilities and activities.

Responsibilities include greeting and supervising children, delivering quality customer service, leading crafts and games, and maintaining safety, attendance records, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR certificates, or equivalent within 3 months of employment.
• Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based background check and a wants/warrants check.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality customer service.
• Provides for the safety and security of children in program.
• Maintains orderly receipts and records where applicable.
• Maintains a clean, safe and fun recreational environment for the children.
• Greets children and introduces them to activities.
• Applies appropriate disciplinary measures per Department policies.
• Responds to inquiries from parents, staff and the public.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of equipment for programs or events.
• Organizes and leads activities including arts, crafts, storytelling, games, and outdoor play.
