The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia seeks a Certified Peer Specialist for the Mobilizing March program in Dublin, GA. The selected candidate brings lived recovery experience to support peers in achieving personal wellness goals.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, applying CPS and PEARLS techniques, and coordinating with housing and community resources to enhance recovery journeys. A passion for helping diverse communities is essential.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with behavioral health or substance use is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 Office products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to help individuals articulate recovery goals.
• Assist in linking peers to workforce opportunities through collaboration.
• Document progress notes within 24 hours of service; finalize within seven days.
• Utilize CPS training methods and PEARLS techniques to build rapport.
• Model recovery experiences and support housing and community integration.
• Deliver weekly peer services with a minimum of two visits monthly.
