Job summary

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia in Dublin, GA is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to support recovery and wellness goals within the IC3 program. The CPS will document progress notes, apply PEARLS techniques, and help peers pursue independent living goals.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, lived experience as a parent/guardian to a child with behavioral health needs, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Lived experience as a parent/guardian to a child with behavioral health needs or past substance use.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in articulating recovery and wellness goals.
• Document progress notes within 24 hours of service and finalize within seven days.
• Assist peers in identifying strengths and barriers to progress.
• Use CPS and PEARLS techniques to build rapport and support life goals.
• Provide weekly peer services with a minimum of two visits monthly.
• Pursue and maintain CPS certification annually and attend trainings as offered.
