Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking an Activity Specialist to design and facilitate project-based learning experiences within a specialization in New York. You will collaborate with site leadership to plan and execute activities and build strong relationships with participants, families, and school staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, engaging youth, preparing necessary paperwork, and supporting program delivery while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• College student or high school graduate 18+.
• 2 years’ experience working with children/youth.
• Supervisory skills for elementary to high school age.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership in planning, development and execution of project-based activities.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families and school faculty.
• Coordinate events in the specialty area such as showcases, exhibits and productions.
• Engage participants in specialty area activities and provide support with resources.
• Prepare related paperwork, materials, and implementation supplies; submit documents timely.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
