Cedarburg Public Library is seeking a part-time Youth Services support staff member to assist the Head of Youth Services in creating welcoming, youth-centered programs and services.

You will engage children and teens, provide reader's advisory, and help develop displays and outreach efforts. Flexible scheduling includes one evening shift and rotating weekend work; wage increases anticipated in January 2027.

Formación

• Some college coursework in library science, education, youth development, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with the public, particularly children and teens, in a customer service, educational, recreational, or library setting is preferred.
• Experience planning or conducting programs for youth is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide welcoming, responsive service to children and teens and their caregivers.
• Plan, develop, promote, and conduct engaging programs for youth aged 11–18.
• Lead reader's advisory and recommend materials based on interests and reading ability.
• Staff the Youth Services information desk and assist patrons by phone and in person.
• Assist with displays, publicity, and social media content for youth services.
• Support the Summer Reading Program and outreach to local schools and community groups.
