Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership seeks a part-time Youth Recreation Coordinator to lead Beacon youth programming for middle and high school participants. You will design age-appropriate activities, recruit participants, and coordinate staff in collaboration with schools and community partners.

The role emphasizes inclusive mentorship, positive youth development, and ongoing program evaluation to inform improvements. Strong facilitation and bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with youth in after-school, school-based, camp, or community settings.
• Experience in sports, recreation, enrichment, or youth leadership preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong youth facilitation, engagement, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead groups and create inclusive environments.
• Organized and dependable and able to balance programming, supervision, and documentation.
• Genuine passion for mentoring young people and working collaboratively with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management, and implementation of Beacon youth programming.
• Support program development, outreach and recruitment, staff coordination, and partnerships.
• Foster an inclusive space where youth feel belonging, ownership, and motivation to participate.
• Recruit and retain youth participants through outreach and engaging design.
• Supervise trips, chaperone, and ensure safety and policy adherence.
• Maintain attendance, enrollment, and participation records; complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with Beacon Leadership and program staff to ensure cohesive programming.
