Job summary

BGCAZ seeks a Lead Youth Development Specialist to work with Branch leadership and Youth Development Professionals, ensuring high-quality programming and youth development practices across the Branch.

The role supports program planning, implementation, and supervision of youth activities, with a focus on safe environments and positive outcomes for youth, while promoting inclusion and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Must obtain/maintain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certification within 90 days.
• Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Six months employment with BGCAZ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Employ BGCAZ Rules of Engagement in day-to-day interactions.
• Facilitate programs and sessions with strong group management and youth engagement.
• Assist with program planning, calendars, lesson plans, and data collection.
• Observe Youth Development Professionals and provide feedback and coaching.
• Plan, promote and conduct specialized events and programs including leagues.
