Job summary

The City of Burien Recreation Division is seeking a dependable leader to create engaging youth programs for elementary and middle school students. You will guide staff, develop activities, and serve as a positive role model in our community.

Requirements include at least 1 year leading youth programs or related education coursework, a valid WA driver's license, and First Aid/CPR within 60 days of hire. This is a 0-19 hour per week, non-exempt, temporary position for Fall 2026 through Spring 2027.

Qualifications

• One year of experience leading or teaching youth programs.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, fun, and educational programs for elementary and middle school youth at designated sites.
• Develop programs and activities for youth participation.
• Serve as staff lead for assigned programs and locations.
• Provide transportation for youth using city vans to different sites.
