Job summary

The City of Missoula is seeking a Recreation Program Facilitator to support its Out of School Programs. You will engage Missoula youth with energy, creativity, and positive guidance, leading activities, crafts, sports, and field trips in a safe, inclusive environment.

Roles span multiple levels, from supporting everyday programming to helping plan camp days and special events. A flexible schedule and on-site teamwork are essential to help youth learn, play, and grow in our community.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check (if 18+).
• May require a Montana driver’s license with acceptable driving record within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet participants, parents, and patrons and attend to needs of each activity.
• Facilitate recreation programs: sports, outdoor activities, arts & crafts, games, field trips.
• Assist with special events and program information inquiries.
• Maintain equipment on site and transport as needed.
• Lead and support staff with various recreation programs and activities.
