Job summary

The Trustees of Reservations in Dover, MA is seeking a Youth Programs Event Assistant to support Powisset Farm’s education programs for ages 2 to 17. This part-time, nonexempt role features up to 20 hours per week, with work on afternoons, weekends and holidays, in the farm kitchen, classroom, or outdoors.

You will help with event setup, cook‑class support, memberships sales, and guiding visitors while promoting the mission.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic; enjoys working with the public including children and families.
• Responsible and detail-oriented with strong safety focus.
• Dependable; weekends, holidays and occasional evenings required.
• Articulate and calm when handling emergencies or difficult visitors.
• Ability to work independently.
• CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Youth Programs Manager with event setup and organizing supplies.
• Assist chef instructors with cooking classes and related clean-up.
• Support adult programs as needed and liaise with private lessees on site.
• Educate visitors about The Trustees' mission and sell memberships on site.
• Lead participants through the barnyard and ensure visitor safety.
• Greet visitors and check-in, providing exceptional customer service.
