Job summary

The Capital District YMCA in Albany, NY seeks a Senior Program Director to lead our Black & Latino Achievers, Youth & Government, and Leader's Club Programs, serving diverse students and advancing youth development.

You will ensure program quality and impact, foster partnerships with schools and community groups, coach staff, and guide budget, marketing, and long‑range planning within a full‑benefits, on‑site work environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Human Services/Community Development or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years professional experience in YMCA program management, community development, or comparable youth programming.
• Proven competence in community development, board development, program development, community collaborations, staff coaching, marketing, and financial development.
• Proven success in building and sustaining collaborations, leading community-wide initiatives, and working with elected officials.
• Excellent human relation skills and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of and commitment to YMCA mission and values (caring, honesty, respect, responsibility).

Responsibilities

• Lead our signature Black & Latino Achievers, Youth & Government, and Leader's Club Programs to drive youth development.
• Ensure exceptional programs and services that support youth development milestones.
• Collaborate with community partners, schools, and officials to expand impact and reach.
• Oversee program operations, staff coaching, and program quality assurance.
