Job summary

The Boys Club of New York seeks a part-time Explorer Program Coordinator to develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate educational, recreational, and social programs for youths aged 7 to 21. The role includes supporting staff, volunteers, and operations to ensure engaging daily activities in the clubhouse and surrounding spaces.

Responsibilities include program supervision, event planning, staff training, behavior management, and ongoing development through mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth development, education, or afterschool programs.
• Strong communication with children, staff and parents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
• Preferred: First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and facilitation of programs and curricula.
• Plan and manage daily activities in the clubhouse and external spaces.
• Assist Age Group Director with special events, parent activities, and trips.
• Assist Age Group Director in training, supervision, and evaluation of frontline staff and volunteers.
• Use behavior management strategies and report incidents to the Age Group Director and staff.
• Attend mandatory professional development trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
