Job summary

The Vanderbilt YMCA in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time Program Coordinator to develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate branch programs and off-site activities. You will focus on program quality, service delivery, and staff development including Activity Specialists and Program Aides.

Responsibilities include ensuring participant safety, maintaining records, supervising staff, and collaborating with schools.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in youth programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Access, Adobe PageMaker, and Photoshop preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants with proper supervision.
Maintain accurate program documentation (participant files, sign-in/out, reports).
Support Site Director; supervise Activity Specialists, Counselors, Advisors, and Volunteers.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to deliver programs.
Promote an inclusive, welcoming environment honoring diverse participants.
Communicate with parents about child’s strengths and growth.
