Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking a Coordinator to support youth and child care programs across Somerset County, NJ. You will assist with scheduling, staff oversight, and program development to help branches meet their goals.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to lead program improvements and engage with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education, child development or related field preferred.
• One to two years related work experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage child care and youth programs, including daily operations and scheduling.
• Manage program administration, enrollment, attendance tracking, and data accuracy.
• Ensure program quality, safety, and compliance with standards and licensing.
• Lead program development and continuous improvement based on community needs.
• Train, schedule, and support staff and volunteers; foster a high-performing team.
• Build relationships with staff, families, partners, and stakeholders; deliver strong customer service.
