Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles is seeking a Program Coordinator for Challengers Club in Los Angeles, CA. You will work with the Site Director to oversee program delivery, supervise staff, and coordinate with parents, schools and community partners to promote positive youth development.

You will help analyze attendance, plan targeted activities, ensure safety, and supervise large youth groups in indoor and outdoor settings, with emphasis on outcome-driven programs and strong community

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, two years of college experience; four-year degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of direct youth service experience with youth program planning and implementation.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; background check required.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Enforces BGCMLA policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe, youth-friendly environment and ensures facilities and supplies are well maintained.
• Promotes program participation and provides guidance and role modeling to members.
• Assists Site Director with membership and attendance analysis; develops strategies to increase membership.
• Plans, implements, and supervises programs and activities; monitors safety and program outcomes.
• Supervises staff, volunteers, and interns; coordinates programming with partners and schools.
