Job summary

Areté Education is seeking a Program Coordinator for PS 65 in the Bronx to support afterschool and summer programming. The role is on-site, part-time, with weekday afternoons and occasional evenings / weekends during holidays and summer programming.

Responsibilities include scheduling, attendance tracking, data reporting, and project coordination within budget. The candidate will organize curriculum files, maintain social media posts, and liaise with staff and leadership to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Experience with youth programs or afterschool settings preferred.
• Mandatory trainings: PETS background clearance; Harassment and Health & Safety.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; team player.
• Commitment to equitable engagement with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Create staff and student schedules; update weekly as needed.
• Oversee attendance procedures and support data reporting.
• Develop weekly progress reports for the Program Director.
• Organize and maintain curriculum binders and digital files.
• Add daily photo and video posts to Arete social media accounts.
• Represent Arete in alignment with organizational standards of conduct.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of assigned projects within budget.
• Assist leadership with planning for special projects.
• Liaise with program staff and leadership teams.
• Attend weekly program activities, events, and staff meetings.
• Conduct family outreach to support enrollment and attendance.
