Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking a Health & Wellness Youth Activities Coordinator to lead youth sports, dance, and camp programming at our Central Queens site. This role blends direct instruction with program development and operational leadership.

You will manage staff, optimize facility use, and ensure high-quality service to families while maintaining safety and compliance with NYCDOH regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Sports Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth/teen populations and planning community-based activities.
• 1–2 years of experience managing staff, supervising programs, or leading facility operations.
• Proven experience as a lead sports or dance instructor with curriculum design ability.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and database/registration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3–6 youth sports or dance classes per semester.
• Design, implement, and elevate curricula focusing on SEL and youth development.
• Monitor enrollment trends and expand weekend/seasonal activities.
