Job summary

ACSET is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Youth Program serving Muskegon, Ionia, and Montcalm counties. This full-time role provides supervision and training to the ACSET Team and ensures effective delivery of Michigan Works! programs.

The Assistant Manager supports the Youth Solutions Manager and upholds customer service to job seekers and employers. The position requires leadership experience, a Bachelor's degree, and knowledge of workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services, public administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in business or workforce administration.
• Computer skills to communicate with community organizations and agencies.
• Ability to monitor program expenditures and read reports.
• Analytical skills to identify operational problems and solutions.
• Strong communication and public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and assistance to staff regarding customer service.
• Monitor and report staff performance and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate proficient use of Pure Michigan Talent Connect and troubleshoot.
• Maintain data and reports for weekly, monthly and quarterly performance.
• Provide training on Michigan Works! regulations, policy and file documentation.
• Understand and demonstrate Salesforce usage for tracking.
• Coordinate with Talent Solutions, Business Solutions or Talent Development teams.
• Maintain understanding of OSMS and program requirements.
• Address front line issues and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Attend professional development activities and perform other duties as assigned.
