Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County seeks a YR-M.O.S.T Youth Aide to support the MOST program. This hourly role pays $15.00 and is suited for current high school or college students seeking youth-facing experience.

You will assist with reading, math, nutrition and fitness activities, help maintain materials and equipment, and support instructors to ensure a safe, engaging environment. Responsibilities include encouraging participation, assisting with setup and cleanup, and upholding club rules;

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
• High level of energy, endurance, and patience.
• Comfortable working with different personalities in an informal environment.
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• Ability to model appropriate behaviors and de-escalate crisis.

Responsibilities

• Stimulate interest and participation in reading/math/nutrition/fitness.
• Help maintain classroom materials and fitness equipment.
• Help instructor, coordinator, classroom teacher or fitness instructor as assigned.
• Help with mobilizing members to attend or participate in programs.
• Help with maintaining discipline and adherence to BGC rules.
• Develop a positive atmosphere among the members toward achieving long term academic and social goals.
• Assist with collecting and tabulating
• Other duties as assigned
