Job summary

Westhab in Bronx, NY is seeking a part-time Security Attendance Officer to manage the Single Point of Access at our safety-focused youth program. You will log entries and exits for youth participants, parents/guardians, staff, and vendors, ensuring a secure start to every day.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in afterschool programs; you should be energetic, dynamic, and passionate about youth, with the ability to deescalate conflicts and request emergency

Qualifications

Two years of experience working in afterschool programs.
High school diploma/GED preferred.
High energy, dynamic personality and genuine passion for youth.

Responsibilities

Sits at the Single Point of Access monitoring all people that enter and exit the site.
Has all program participants, parents/guardians, staff, and vendors/partners sign into the site upon entry and out of the site upon exit.
Adds to the positive culture of the program through welcoming all people who are entering the site and displaying a positive attitude and warm demeanor.
Ensures that all parents/guardians picking up children are indicated in the child’s file as responsible adults for the child.
Prevents the entry to program site of any undesirable individual. Works to deescalate conflict by calmly escorting people off site.
