Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County in Wauwatosa, WI is seeking a Before and After School Care Instructor to support youth before and after school. You will follow developmentally appropriate plans, supervise activities, and serve as a positive role model for children and staff.

This role requires at least a high school diploma, completion of a school-age development course within 2 months, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school or equivalent.
• Completion of at least one course in school-age growth and development within 2 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, and child care certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and supervise before/after school activities.
• Serve as a role model to staff and participants and build positive relationships.
• Maintain participant records and ensure safety and cleanliness of spaces.
• Adhere to emergency procedures and regulatory requirements; attend trainings and meetings.
