DREAM is hiring Youth Workers for East Harlem programs to lead groups of youth in after-school and summer activities. You will support sports, enrichment and academics while fostering social‑emotional learning and positive behavior.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication with families, and a readiness to grow through DREAM’s Teaching Fellowship and professional development opportunities. This is a part‑time, in‑person position at our East Harlem site.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older by start date.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in person at the school or program site.
• Experience with groups of school-age children preferred.
• Experience with behavior management preferred.
• Strong energy, warmth, enthusiasm and patience with youth.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families.
• Comfort with technology including Google Suite.

Responsabilités

• Lead after-school groups of 18–20 youth with activities.
• Summer camp groups of up to 28 youth with literacy and math activities.
• Facilitate lessons to build social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate to plan enrichment activities.
• Model professionalism and positive youth development.
• Supervise youth behavior using restorative approaches.
• Participate in professional development and training.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
