Children’s Aid in New York City is seeking a Part-time Prevention Facilitator to deliver evidence-based prevention services and youth development programming for youth and families across multiple program sites. The role involves group facilitation, mentoring, and referrals with travel between Brooklyn and Manhattan locations.

The position requires flexibility, documentation compliance, and a commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience working with youth, families, prevention programs, behavioral health, education, or community-based organizations.
• Experience facilitating groups with youth preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct prevention services to youth and families in school, community, and center-based settings.
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 10 youth and families.
• Facilitate assigned EBPs with fidelity.
• Plan and facilitate prevention education groups, social-emotional learning activities, and life skills workshops.
• Provide individual mentoring, supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and appropriate referrals.
• Recruit, engage, and retain youth and families in prevention programming.
• Support youth identified as at risk through individualized prevention planning and follow-up.
• Travel between multiple program sites and community locations as assigned.
