Job summary

WestCare seeks a prevention-focused professional to empower communities and support substance abuse prevention. The role involves promoting alcohol- and drug-free lifestyles, building local structures, and coordinating environmental strategies within St. Croix.

The position emphasizes outreach to 13–24-year-olds, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting all sessions in clinical records. Strong computer skills and willingness to participate in training are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year’s experience in prevention programs, HIV, and substance abuse.
• Experience working with 13–24-year-old population.
• Capacity to learn and implement intervention core elements; case management experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Empower communities to promote alcohol and drug-free lifestyles.
• Build community structures to support preventive lifestyles.
• Develop risk reduction prevention plans with consumers and document sessions.
• Deliver Botvin life skills-based intervention.
• Conduct community-based outreach in St. Croix.
