Job summary

Voices for Children in Nebraska is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven advocate to engage youth across the state in policy work. This role focuses on elevating youth voices in development and decision-making, with responsibilities during legislative sessions and community events.

The position reports to the Policy Director and emphasizes outreach to youth, families, and external partners, plus developing collaborative statewide policy initiatives. Hybrid work is available in Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Commitment to centering youth voice in community work.
• Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Nebraska Youth Justice Policy Fellowship and other youth advocacy cohorts.
• Plan and execute the Spring Break Policy & Advocacy Camp and youth summits.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations across Nebraska, outside Omaha/Lincoln.
• Provide outreach and direct support for youth and families in policymaking processes.
• Communicate policy updates during legislative sessions to audiences.
