Community Concepts Maine is seeking a Youth Peer Support Specialist to guide youth through education, employment, healthcare, housing, and daily living. A young adult with lived experience provides peer-based support through shared experiences and recovery-oriented practices, with work based in the Rumford or South Paris Office.
This per diem role offers up to 15 hours per week, with some evenings and occasional weekend coverage.
What is a Youth Peer Support Specialist? This position provides guidance and encouragement as youth navigate challenges related to education, employment, healthcare, housing, and daily living. The Youth Peer Support Specialist is a young adult with lived experience navigating mental health challenges and/or youth-serving systems who provides peer-based support to youth through shared experiences, mutual respect, and recovery-oriented practices.
This position can be based out of the Rumford or South Paris Office, with a service area of Oxford County. It is per diem and up to 15 hours per week, and the schedule must meet the needs of individuals and/or families, and may include some evenings and occasional weekend coverage.
