MN Adult & Teen Challenge in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Youth Peer Support Specialist to help prevent substance use among teens. This part-time role (Mon-Fri, 4 hours per day) offers meaningful work in schools and community settings.

You will share your personal story of overcoming addiction, present in classrooms, and support curriculum delivery, small groups, and social media outreach while upholding MnPRA values.

Qualifications

• Comfort and compassion in working with individuals facing life-controlling challenges.
• Must have personal lived experience of overcoming addiction.
• Previous history working with students preferred.
• CPRS credential preferred.
• Background checks required by school districts.

Responsabilités

• Develop personal story to be shared in presentations.
• Present stories to groups in classrooms, fundraising meetings, and other venues.
• Facilitate small group sessions and teach curriculum.
• Assist program coordinator with daily tasks and curriculum updates.
• Support social media outreach and community engagement.
• Represent MnPRA at networking events with professionalism.
• Handle data entry and office tasks.
