Job summary

MN Adult & Teen Challenge in Minnesota operates a Rockbridge Treatment facility and is seeking two Part Time Recovery Care Specialists to lead and supervise clients during shifts on weekends and weekdays.

The role focuses on client supervision, relationship building, documentation, and safe transportation, with duties including intake/discharges, medication monitoring, and providing spiritual support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; or limited related experience.
• Must be free of problematic substance use for at least one year.
• Ability to relate to and mentor people with life-controlling problems.
• Ability to interpret Bible verses and apply biblical knowledge.
• Ability to pray out loud with clients and staff.
• Knowledge of the AA 12 steps and faith-based recovery setting.
• Ability to confront clients with effectiveness and uphold program rules.
• Commitment to organizational values and faith statement.
• Must possess MN driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise clients on dorm floors and during shift activities.
• Assist in client intake and discharges.
• Monitor self-administration of medications and vitamins.
• Develop healthy relationships and mentor clients.
• Provide spiritual care upon request (prayer, devotions).
• Confront unhealthy behaviors per biblical principles and program guidelines.
• Gather information for discipline reports and incident logs.
• Safely transport clients to program functions and activities.
• Perform room searches and document contraband when needed.
• Administer drug/alcohol tests as instructed.
• Maintain security checks and supervise morning wake-ups.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
