Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home is seeking a Youth Peer Mentor to support youth in mental health programs within the Wraparound team. The role emphasizes peer coaching, advocacy, and connection to community resources to amplify the youth voice in care.

The YPM will work with youth and families, participate in intakes, and help maintain professional boundaries while modeling positive behavior. Driving is required with a valid CA license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 12 units in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual mentorship to youth in the Wraparound program.
• Advocate for the youth perspective within the clinic setting.
• Identify local community resources and connect youth to services.
• Assist youth in developing healthy peer and adult relationships.
• Participate in intake and staff trainings as required.
• Document interventions with youth and families in a timely manner.
