Job summary

Hope For Youth, Inc. is seeking a Family Peer Advocate to work with children, youth and families in Suffolk County, Long Island. The role involves direct family therapeutic contact, transportation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The position is full-time (35-hour week) with excellent training and leadership opportunities, competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, pension and tuition assistance. Prior credential and a valid NYS driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
• Valid NYS driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support services to the parent, family member or caregiver for the benefit of the child/youth.
• Engage youth in services to build life skills and support transition to adulthood.
• Attend trainings, daily team meetings and family meetings as assigned.
• Provide transportation for client to service locations as necessary.
