Job summary

The Crossing Church in the St. Louis area is seeking a Youth Pastor to lead the YouthCrossing ministry for 6th–12th graders at the Mid Rivers Campus. The role requires creating a safe environment for students and overseeing weekly services, events, outreach, and volunteers.

You will lead a weekend pastoral presence and partner with teams to plan camps and retreats, while training and developing volunteer leaders and maintaining strong relational culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years vocational ministry experience required.
• Must be passionate about their relationship with God and The Crossing's faith.

Responsibilities

• Primary teacher and vision keeper of campus youth ministry.
• Oversee Middle and High School volunteers.
• Recruit and train teams of adult volunteers.
• Provide ongoing training and leadership development for volunteers.
• Implement follow up with new and current students.
• Develop and implement student leadership opportunities.
• Work closely with the Youth Central Services Team to put on weekly Youth services.
• Create community and relational opportunities through events and activities.
• Be proactive and have initiative to troubleshoot and evaluate to expand YouthCrossing ministry.
• Partner with Youth Central Services Team to plan and execute combined events and initiatives, including a summer camp and winter retreat.
• Provide pastoral support and leadership for Weekend Services.
• Other staff duties as assigned by the Leadership team.

Youth Pastor.

.....is a full-time position that will oversee the entire youth ministry (6th-12th graders) at our Mid Rivers Campus. This person will have the ability to create a safe environment for students all over the spiritual spectrum to take steps on their journey with Jesus. This includes (but is not limited to) overseeing the weekly YouthCrossing gathering, events, outreach, volunteers, and volunteer development. This person will have a high gift of leadership and be very relational. Creating community, culture, and trust amongst teams is a top priority. This position will also operate in a pastoral capacity during our weekend services.
