Job summary

Clear Creek County seeks a motivated MYN Youth Programs Coordinator to develop youth engagement opportunities and manage TREK Outdoors, teaching leadership, resilience, teamwork, and outdoor skills through activities such as camping, hiking, and backpacking.

Under supervision of the MYN Manager, you will deliver evidence-based curricula in partnership with the local school district, coordinate multi-day trips, coordinate volunteers, track outcomes, and assist with grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Two years experience in outdoor leadership/recreation, environmental education, positive youth development, education, or a related field (working with youth).
• Experience working with youth 11-18 years of age.
• Experience coordinating and leading multi-day wilderness trips preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate partnerships with youth, school staff, and outdoor organizations.
• Collaborate with and support Mountain Youth Network (MYN) staff and PYD initiatives.
• Plan and deliver social-emotional learning and evidence-based lessons for youth groups.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to youth for future planning.
• Plan activities and programming for youth engagement with MYN staff and partners.
• Coordinate grant reporting, budgets, and expense tracking.
• Assist with communications including social media and websites.
