Hiring Range: $32.53 - $40.67 Per Hour

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mobile Crisis Outreach Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join our Youth Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT). This position focuses on providing rapid, expert crisis intervention and support for youth and families experiencing behavioral health crises. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll work alongside Certified Peer Counselors (CPCs), Designated Crisis Responders (DCRs), and other behavioral health professionals to stabilize crises and connect youth with essential services.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Advocate for youth access to appropriate behavioral health, substance use, and wraparound services to promote long-term stability

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution throughout Kitsap County, working within a collaborative team environment

  • Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments in partnership with DCRs, CPCs, and other MCOT members

  • Assess and ensure the safety of clients, the community, and staff during crisis outreach

  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to stabilize clients in the least restrictive environment

  • Coordinate with law enforcement, medical personnel, social service agencies, and family members to develop appropriate crisis intervention plans

  • Maintain knowledge of Washington State ITA laws (RCW 71.05 & 71.34) and other crisis intervention regulations

  • Provide education and support to clients, family members, and community partners on accessing behavioral health and substance use services

  • Develop and implement individualized safety plans and least restrictive alternatives for crisis resolution

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of crisis interventions in compliance with agency and regulatory standards

  • Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and ongoing training to enhance crisis response effectiveness


Minimum Qualifications


  • Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field, or meet waiver criteria of RCW 71.24.260.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.

  • Driving: Must meet agency driving requirements, including being at least 21 years old, licensed for a minimum of three years, successful completion of a motor vehicle history check, possessing a current valid driver’s license in Washington State, and having reliable insured transportation.

  • License: Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in RCW 71.05.020.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with adults/youth in crisis intervention, crisis triage centers, acute inpatient units and/or substance abuse treatment centers, and community outreach.
