Job summary

Princeton Theological Seminary is seeking an Assistant Director for the Institute for Youth Ministry to lead administrative and pastoral efforts for online and in-person programming, coordinating events, and developing resources for ministry with young people.

The role emphasizes certificate program administration, cohort management, budgeting, and collaboration with Continuing Education to advance mission and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• MDiv degree from an ATS-accredited seminary or divinity school is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in youth ministry.
• Ability to reflect theologically on the nature and purpose of youth ministry.
• Excellent organization, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Track record of planning and facilitating meetings, gatherings, and events.
• Experience with teaching and/or presenting educational and training programs.
• Ability to learn quickly and master computer systems and programs necessary to facilitate work tasks, including Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Mailchimp, Wordpress, Canva, and Brightspace.
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and other diverse constituencies.
• Ability to train, support, and supervise student staff.
• Proven commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racism.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
• Actively support and advance the mission of Princeton Theological Seminary.

• Provide administrative leadership for new programs in youth ministry.
• Develop multimedia educational resources for church and academy.
• Implement marketing strategies for programs, events, and initiatives.
• Manage, assess, and enhance program assessment practices.
