Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Youth Coordinator to lead and coordinate youth programs at the Renton Corps. The role emphasizes evangelism, pastoral care, and leadership development within children and youth ministries.

In coordination with the Corps Officers, you will plan programs, supervise activities, and help ensure a dynamic, engaging environment for youth. A strong Christian witness and teamwork are essential to operate effectively in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in youth work, programming, teen development, etc.
• First Aid/CPR-AED certificate required.
• Washington driver’s license and background check/MVR needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee youth programs (e.g., Wednesday Night, Discipleship).
• Plan evangelistic outreach and pastoral care for Renton youth.
• Assist to recruit, register, and manage summer camps and youth events.
• Collaborate with corps officers and ministry staff to grow Sunday School and teen programs.
