Job summary

Westside Church is seeking a part-time Youth Assistant to support our middle school, high school, and pre-teen ministries. You will help run weekly gatherings, host events, and build relationships with students and volunteers under the Youth & Family Pastor and the Youth Program Coordinator.

The role emphasizes welcoming environments, teamwork, and spiritual growth, with evening and Sunday hours and opportunities to gain volunteer leadership experience through mentoring, games, announcements,

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and volunteers.
Experience working with youth in church, camp, school, or volunteer setting.
Available for Sundays and weekday evenings.

Responsibilities

Be a visible presence and assist with activities, setup/teardown and hosting.
Collaborate with team to deliver meaningful worship and teaching moments.
Youth Church, Open Gym and/or 4th/5th Grade Classroom Sunday AM (8am-1pm) activities.
High School Sunday PM (5:00-10pm) activities.
Middle School Monday PM (5:00-9pm) activities.
Assist with special events evenings as scheduled.
Attend all Youth and Westside Church staff meetings and events.
