Job summary

Bucks IU is seeking a qualified youth mental health position to support a partial program. You will work under a licensed mental health therapist, delivering individual and group sessions, documenting interactions, and supporting treatment planning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school staff and families, community referrals, and adherence to regulatory requirements while ensuring timely progress notes and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children/adolescents in school or mental health settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively under the direction of the mental health therapist to meet therapeutic goals.
• Co-facilitate group therapy including social skills, anger management, recreation, art, and other modalities.
• Co-facilitate family therapy and maintain ongoing communication with family.
• Develop treatment plans and discharge plans.
• Identify supports in the community and refer for other services as appropriate.
• Complete daily progress notes and other documentation as needed.
• Actively communicate with school personnel and other agencies.
• Crisis management and coordination with treatment teams.
• Assist in obtaining authorizations and ensuring prescriptions are up to date.
