Job summary

Peace River Center seeks a CAT Mentor to provide mentoring and support for children and adolescents receiving mental health services. You will assist families in navigating the mental health services system and help participants build resiliency and recovery.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, and a willingness to complete PRC trainings. Certification as a Behavioral Technician is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs (internship/volunteer included).
• Current Certified Behavioral Technician certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support children and adolescents receiving mental health services.
• Assist families in navigating the mental health services system and in resiliency and recovery.
• Provide transportation to scheduled medical, dental, or other appointments as needed.
• Document progress to maintain records and participate in staff meetings and treatment planning reviews.
• Attend all scheduled work hours and complete daily progress notes in Credible.
• Assist CAT participants with personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
