Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a passionate full-time, hourly educator for the 2026-2027 School Year. This role offers $16.50-$17.50 per hour and involves creating engaging activities, supporting children's learning, and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

You will plan curriculum, observe progress, communicate with families, complete required trainings, and participate in team planning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years verified childcare experience (2500 hours)
• Degree in education or human services related field
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and trainings

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging activities to support children's learning and self-esteem.
• Plan and implement curriculum for programs with developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Conduct weekly observations and document child progress and concerns.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about progress and program experience.
• Maintain attendance records, emergency binders, allergy reports, and related paperwork.
• Keep centers stocked with learning materials and organized learning centers
