Chautauqua’s Boys and Girls Club is the longest running summer day camp in the United States. The program, for youth in second grade to tenth grade, offers a variety of activities including field activities, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, nature, crafts, sports, music, and arts. The program hours are 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2–4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Compensation
Starting at $15.50/hour, with potential to earn up to $16.50/hour based on experience and qualifications.
Work Responsibilities
Referral Program
Offers a $500 referral bonus for successful hires who remain employed for at least 90 days (or 30 days for seasonal positions).
Work Schedule
Primarily Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., approximately 30 hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Mandatory in-person staff training is scheduled before the season.
Housing
Limited on-ground housing may be available; candidates should anticipate potential costs and arrangements independently.
