Position Overview:

As a Youth Lead, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of K-12 students by supporting their academic and career success, wellness, and social-emotional learning (SEL). If you're passionate about youth development and eager to make a real difference, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
  1. Inspire and Engage: Create a safe, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
  2. Academic & Career Support: Develop and implement personalized Academic & Career Plans (ACPs) that cater to each student's unique needs and aspirations.
  3. Program Leadership: Facilitate before- and after-school programs that include engaging instruction, enrichment activities, and academic interventions designed to promote subject mastery and SEL skills.
  4. Collaboration & Partnerships: Work closely with campus clubs and organizations to recruit students and build partnerships that enhance program offerings.
  5. Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including forms, assessments, attendance, and more.
  6. Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents to ensure the program meets the needs of both students and their families.
  7. Professional Representation: Serve as an ambassador for Youth Action Project in all interactions with school partners and community liaisons.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required. College coursework (48 semesters or 60 quarter units) is preferred. Experience working with youth in structured programs is a must.
  2. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other cloud-based tools.
  3. Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
  4. Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Independent & Collaborative: Able to work both independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  6. Reliable & Ready: Must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance. Comfortable leading activities that may involve extended periods of standing, walking, or outdoor exposure.
Why Join Us?
  1. Impact: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
  2. Growth: Opportunity to develop professionally in a supportive environment.
  3. Community: Be part of a diverse, inclusive team committed to positive change.
Benefits for Youth Leads:
As a Youth Lead, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your overall well-being and personal growth. Our benefits include:
