Job summary

Douglas County Health & Human Services Department – Social Worker focuses on Youth Justice, providing case management, assessments, and services for youth and families under state guidelines, with focus on prevention, diversion, and accountability.

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, on-site in Wisconsin. On-call rotation and 24/7 response for juvenile custody intake. Benefits include health/dental, HSA, retirement and PSLF eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred or a related human services field with experience.
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin Social Work certification if required.
• Strong writing, interviewing, and case documentation skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and 24/7 response when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, planning, and direct services for youth referred to Youth Justice.
• Gather information, conduct screenings, and maintain case files and documentation.
• Maintain awareness of state statutes, policies, and evidence-based practices.
• Engage with schools, providers, law enforcement, and families as required.
• Respond to juvenile custody intake calls and participate in on-call rotations.
