Job summary

Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. dba The Harbor in Port Huron, MI, is seeking an Intervention Specialist for The Harbor program, a 24/7 operation with shifts from 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, and 12am-8am.

This is a part-time role offering up to 60 hours every two weeks and a PTO provision with a 403B plan. You will assist youth aged 9-17 with daily routines, supervision, transportation, meals, and crisis intervention, while handling documentation and coordinating with leadership to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Experience working with runaway/homeless youth preferred.
• Ability to manage crisis situations with calm and composure.
• Reliable transportation and ability to transport youth when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth with daily routines (getting up, leaving for school, meals, homework, chores).
• Provide supervision and guidance to residents on outings and on-site.
• Transport residents to and from school and appointments as assigned.
• Assist with medical needs of residents including passing medications and first aid.
• Complete intakes and all necessary documentation in case files and contact records.
• Answer crisis calls and provide crisis intervention as required.
• Participate with residents in activities and supervision.
• Support the Program Director in regulatory compliance and safety procedures.
