Job summary

Yarrow Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Youth Sports Instructor to plan and teach youth in several sports, encouraging participation and modeling proper techniques. The role requires patient communication and the ability to work with children and their parents in a supportive environment.

Candidates must be 18+, hold CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, and have knowledge of 2–3 sports. Availability on weekdays or Saturdays between 9:00 am–11:00 am and 3:00 pm–6:30 pm is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification from recognized organizations (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of 2–3 different sports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth participants and their parents/guardians.
• Ability to plan, lead and participate in sports activities.
• Ability to lift equipment and a small to average size child.
• Ability to supervise children.
• Available weekdays or Saturdays 9:00–11:00 and/or 3:00–6:30.

• Must be 18 or older

  • American Heart Association
  • American Red Cross
• Knowledge and expertise in at least 2-3 different sports
• Ability to communicate effectively to youth participants and their parents/guardians.
• Ability to plan, lead and participate in Sports activities.
• Ability to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child.
• Ability to see and supervise children.
• Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper sports techniques
• Available weekdays or Saturdays between 9:00 am and 11:00 am and/or 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
