The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Independent Living Caseworker for Wayne County Children and Youth Services. This position focuses on assisting transition-aged youth to develop independence through case management and skill-building, with training provided and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities include needs assessments, living-skill development, education planning, and collaboration with courts and service providers to advocate for youth.

Formación

• Requires two years of college coursework with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences.
• Bachelor's degree including 12 credits in sociology/social sciences or equivalent.
• Within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits, educational requirements will be considered met.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct needs assessments and create individualized Independent Living Plans.
• Provide guidance on life skills, education planning, employment strategies, and housing stability.
• Build rapport with youth and model pro-social behaviors in various settings.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of youth progress and program activities.
• Organize and lead life skills groups and community service events.
• Attend court hearings and meet with treatment providers to advocate for youth.
